The International Conference on Quantum Communication, Measurement and Computing (QCMC) was established in 1990 to encourage and bring together scientists and engineers working in the interdisciplinary field of quantum information science and technology.

Previously, fourteen QCMC conferences have been held. The fifteenth conference, initially programmed for June 2020, will be QCMC 2021 and will take place on 5-9 July 2021, in Lisbon, Portugal.

It will be organized by the Physics of Information and Quantum Technologies Group, from Instituto de Telecomunicações (IT) & Instituto Superior Técnico (IST), University of Lisbon, in collaboration with other local colleagues.

Scope of the conference:
  • Quantum Communications and Quantum Cryptography
  • Quantum Sensing and Quantum Metrology
  • Quantum Computing and Quantum Simulation
  • Quantum Networks
  • Quantum Information Theory
  • Quantum Control and Quantum Engineering
  • Foundations of Quantum Physics

Latest news:
  • Due to the corona virus pandemic, and upon consulting the QCMC Steering Committee and the Chair of the Programme Committee, the Organizing Committee has decided to move QCMC from June 2020 to 5-9 July 2021.
  • The nominations for the International Quantum Award "for outstanding achievements in quantum science research" are open until Friday 10 April 2020.
